What Morfi processes

Morfi processes account and profile details; kitchen, pantry, recipe, plan, shopping, preference, budget, receipt and shared-household data; photos you choose for ingredient or receipt recognition; chat messages; subscription status from Stripe or Google Play; and technical security and reliability data.

How it is used and shared

This information provides the features you request, synchronizes your account, enforces plan access, prevents abuse and supports reliable operation. It is shared only with providers needed for hosting, authentication, storage, AI processing, analytics and billing. Members of a shared kitchen can see content shared with that kitchen. Morfi does not sell personal data or use private kitchen content for third-party advertising.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics on the website and Google Analytics for Firebase in Android to measure app opens, screen visits, account creation, successful logins and categorized errors. Google uses device and app-instance identifiers to measure usage. Our custom analytics events do not include email addresses, names, passwords, login tokens, kitchen content, photos or chat text. Android advertising-ID collection and personalized advertising signals are disabled in the app.

For shared-library recipe popularity, Morfi stores a random browser or device identifier and the UTC date of a recipe visit to count at most one view per device per recipe each day. These records do not contain email addresses or IP addresses. Only aggregate view and favorite counts are shown publicly; private kitchen recipes are excluded.

Photos and camera

Camera access is requested only when you choose to capture a kitchen, receipt or chat photo. Selected images are processed to identify ingredients or receipt details. Receipt images may be stored with the receipt so you can view them later. Photos sent to Morfi in chat are processed by our AI provider and saved in your private chat history. Deleting the chat removes its saved messages and photos.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained while your account is active and as needed for security, legal, payment and backup obligations. You can permanently delete your account from Kitchen settings or the deletion page. Morfi cancels active billing, removes personal account data, and removes kitchens with no other members. Shared kitchens are transferred to another member so their shared content remains available.
